Partner in Inspiration: Connection, Laughter & Balance
I’m a successful visual artist looking for a muse — a female companion who can bring fresh energy into my world. Not by critiquing my work or coming up with ideas for my art, but by sharing experiences that fuel creativity and keep life balanced outside the studio.
If you know The Artist’s Way, there’s a concept of taking “artist dates” — little adventures outside the routine that refill the creative tank. That’s exactly what I’m after. Left to myself, I’ll happily work six days a week in the studio, but I know that long-term creativity thrives on balance and fun shared experiences.
What this looks like: getting together once a week for lunch, checking out new places, or occasionally joining me on work trips (I usually travel to the East and West Coast for projects). Ideally, you’d also enjoy coming up with ideas for these outings — even if it’s as simple as picking restaurants you’ve been wanting to try. I spend the week making decisions and managing people, so it’s a welcome change to let someone else take the reins here in a fun, lighthearted way. And just as important: this should be enjoyable and inspiring for you, too. All expenses for outings and travel are covered.
This isn’t a one-way street. I show up for people, during their hard times as well as the good ones. Sometimes that means being a good listener, sometimes offering financial support, and often providing assurance and optimism when life feels heavy. Part of my role as an artist is to care for my muse, not just draw inspiration from her.
For the right person, I also provide a monthly stipend of $1,000 — a way of valuing your time.
This could be a great fit if you’re curious, playful, and open to new experiences. If you’re building your own path or starting something new, I’m glad to share what I’ve learned in both art and business.
About me: I’m easygoing, optimistic, and believe in keeping things light and supportive. I’ve built a career doing what I love, and I know how important it is to balance focus with play. For transparency, I’m 61 — though I live and work with the energy of someone much younger.
How to Connect
If this speaks to you, send me a note about yourself — what you enjoy, your sense of humor, and what you’re not into. IMPORTANT: Please confirm you’ve got at least one weekday free and share what part of town you’re in (proximity to Spring is a plus). From there, I’ll suggest a studio visit or lunch so we can see how it feels in person.
About the Stipend
I know your time and energy are valuable. Just as you’d be making me a priority, I want to make sure this feels worthwhile for you, too. For the right person, I offer a monthly stipend ($1,000) as a way of recognizing the commitment and balance you bring to this role.
